The scene is set with a secret research facility, a deadly chemical weapon and a special security team to investigate this incident with the potential to become much more than just a security breach. Daymare 1998 Linux DXVK Wne – how to play this game on Linux.
Daymare 1998 – yet another Unreal Engine 4 title without native Linux version. Even though this engine is cross-platform, the developer Invader Studios didn’t release this game for Linux. Nevertheless the game is running very good on Linux and we’ll show you how to play it. Off we go!
For this game you’ll need Wine or Wine-Staging, DXVK and Windows Media Foundation, a.k.a mfplat.

Setting mfplat is hard task but no more! Thanks to z0z0z you can install it in a blink of an eye. Yоu’ll hаvе tо dоwnlоаd thе аrсhіvе with the script and libraries frоm GіtНub, ехtrасt іt, ехроrt Wіnе рrеfіх раth, аnd run thе іnѕtаll ѕсrірt:
- Export your Wine prefix path where the game is installed:
export WINEPREFIX="/path/to/your/wine/prefix"
- And execute the install script:
./install-mf.sh
You can also use ESync for an FPS boost.
