Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II Linux D9VK Wine – how to run this game on Linux.

Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II works well on Linux but require some tweaking. Fear not! Just follow our simple gude!

For this game you’ll need Wine, D9VK, and a registry setting. For D9VK installation you may refer to our step-by-step installation tutorial.

At this stage the game will crash out with video memory problems. To fix this we’ll have to tell Wine our video RAM amount. To create the registry string you’ll have to issue the following command:

winetricks videomemorysize=2048

You can set values like 512, 1024, and 2048. If you have more than 2048MB VRAM, you can set the amount manually in the registry editor.

Issue the following:

winetricks regedit

Look for:

HKEY_CURRENT_USER->Software->Wine->Direct3D

In the right pane double click on VideoMemorySize and set Value data to 4096.

All done. Now you are ready to play Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II on Linux!
