Despite older titles like Metro 2033 and Metro: Last Light having dedicated Linux versions, the newest game from the franchise didn’t receive one. This isn’t a problem for Linux though. The game runs great and it is very easy for setup.
All you need sor this game is Wine and DXVK. For DXVK installation you may follow the steps from our easy to follow tutorial. You also can use ESync for an FPS boost.

You can try to increase the performance by editing user.cfg. You can find the file in:
/prefix/drive_c/users/your_user/Saved Games/metro exodus/292733975847239680/
Edit the settings with the following values:
r_base_fov 70. r_blur_level 0 r_game_mblur_scale 0.
Save the changes and close the file.
