Valiant Hearts The Great War is an Ubisoft game hence there’s no Linux version. However, it runs great on Linux too and is very easy to setup. You’ll only need a newer Wine x86 version and an x86 Wine prefix.

You can still use an ancient Wine version like 1.x but sometimes the game will start without sound. You’ll have to restart the computer in order to get sound working. In newer versions of Wine, 3.x or higher, this problem is fixed.
