Test Drive Unlimited Linux D9VK Wine – how to play this game on Linux.
Test Drive Unlimited has a long standing bug where the water is always rendered on top of everything but finally it’s resolved in Wine 4.8. However, you can use D9VK for higher performance. Both variants are working well and the good news is Project Paradise also works without problems at all.
For this game you’ll need Wine x86 or Wine-staging x86, a x86 Wine prefix, and D9VK. For D9VK installation you can follow our tutorial which will guide you through the basics. You also may want to use ESync for an additional performance boost.
All done. Now you can play Test Drive Unlimited on Linux!
- Wine version used in the video – Wine-Staging 4.8 x86 with ESync enabled.
- DX9K version – 0.10
