Constructor Plus is a Windows title without a Linux version but it works on Linux like native game. However, it requires some tweaking and we’ll show you how to run it. Let’s begin the party!
For this game you’ll need Wine, d3dx9 (DirectX9) and xact libraries. For DirectX9 you have two paths to take – install Wine d3dx9 implementation or install it via Microsoft’s official installer.
- Install Wine d3dx9 implementation:
winetricks d3dx9
- Install d3dx9 via Microsoft’s official installer:
You’ll have to download Microsoft’s official installer and run it with double click just like in Windows. Follow the installer’s steps.
As the last step we’ll have to install xact libraries in order for audio to function properly. It’s easy as:
