Днес лидерът на екипа на Linux Mint Clement Lefebvre пусна новата версия на Cinnamon, за потребителите на Linux Mint.
Новата версия е отбелязана като билд 3.0.3 за идващата версия 18 на Linux Mint. Разбира се, новата версия на графичната среда е налична също така и за потребителите, които са инсталирали Cinnamon 3.0.
Cinnamon 3.0.3 идва две седмици след излизането на 3.0.2 и съдържа в себе си малко на брой промени – само 19. Промените са на основни компоненти като Menu, Sound Applets и Cinnamon Settings.
Някои интересни промени, които правят впечатление са възможността да се използва тъмният вариант на Mint-Y темата, нотификации, които съдържат бутон в себе си няма да изчезват, включването в търсенето от менюто и на файловете, които се намират на десктопа, поправяне на грешки при звуковия аплет, когато работи SMPlayer и други.
Linux Mint 18 „Sarah“ е все още в разработка и първата бета ще види бял свят само след няколко седмици, някъде в първите дни на юни месец. Бета версията ще дойде, с версия на Cinnamon 3.0 по подразбиране, заедно с MATE версията.
Засега няма точна информация за точната дата на излизане на стабилната версия на Linux Mint 18, но се очаква това да е през лятото, най-вероятно август месец, ако всичко върви както трябва и не се появят някои големи проблеми.
